What’s Going On Here?

If you knew me you’d know I love meeting new people. What’s funny is I have terrible stage fright, but I can’t help but try to connect with folks in a meaningful way.

Lifelong friendships have sprung up from chance encounters. And I’ll talk to anyone, about anything. That’s why I find it hard to sit and put words on paper [or a screen].

This process feels cold and unresponsive. Friends say, pretend I’m talking to someone. My wife knows I’m bad at pretending and hypotheticals.

So Friend, start responding. This is a shameless request to like, comment and share. That way, these messages can become clearer, more direct and hopefully bring the kind of value you came here looking for.

For today, my audience is my dog, currently snoring by my desk. She has one ear up and I’ll pretend she’s taking in every word.

Went to adopt a competent guard dog who was always looking out for me. Instead, got a competent love bug always looking out for cuddles.

I won’t bore you with my ABOUT ME, but here’s a little bit of my background.

In 2012, I got my degree in Exercise Science from the University of Connecticut. That feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago. And while that experience taught me a lot, much of my education happened in the trenches. After school I moved to Boston and dove head first in all things training and nutrition. During this time I competed in the sport of Strongman and coached others who went on to compete in a variety of sports.

I’ve worked with all kinds of people in my career, from youth and adult athletes to stay-at-home moms and dads. I’ve trained lawyers and doctors, musicians and chefs.

I’ve been fortunate to help people lose weight, put on muscle, improve their quality of life and build healthy relationships around fitness and nutrition.

And I’m grateful for every second of it. I value improving my craft and I do that through pursuing certifications, reading up-to-date research and books and maintaining close connections with friends in the field.

Personally, I love to travel, eat and cook delicious food and hang out with my people. Since becoming remote I’ve spent time in 5 different countries across the map and am fortunate to do work that lets me work with people from all over the world.

I plan on sharing stories and lessons that are long overdue. I wish I started this sooner, but that’s yesterday and this is today.

It’s cliche, but there’s no time like the present.

What you can expect from me is

  1. Honesty - You’ll see the good, the bad and the ugly.

  2. Consistency - I have a goal of publishing regularly in 2023, feel free to hold me accountable.

  3. Value - Keep coming back to get a deeper look into my coaching approach, my philosophies and the lessons I’ve learned along the way to help you achieve your health goals.

I have a lot to say and it’s about time I say it to more than my dog.

It really means a lot to have you here. If you or someone you know can benefit from talking with a fitness professional about starting their fitness journey, Click HERE to schedule a talk with me today.
